Ableworld Thatcham to Attend Newbury Show 2023!

Ableworld Thatcham are extremely excited to announce that we will be attending the Newbury Agriculture show between the 16th & 17th September. Ableworld feel lucky to attend such a renowned event, Newbury Show is regarded as one of the best county shows in the country!
An estimated 55,000 people will be in attendance, we feel honored to support those who may be struggling with their mobility. Held over two days at Newbury showground, just off junction 13 of the M4 the Newbury show will have many stalls just like ours, it will also host live music, vintage displays, agricultural machinery and the 'Grande Parade of Livestock'.
We have two members of staff on hand to give guidance, advice and demonstrations on a wide range of products at our stall. Thatcham store manager Dan will be joined by Reading store manager Abdul, who between them will be able to answer any questions you may have about your mobility.
Both stores have been working hard to prepare for this year’s event and understanding that there has been a three-year hiatus for the show, we want to ensure it lives up to its reputation. It has been amazing to see the support Ableworld Thatcham have received from the community since opening our doors back in March.
This is a perfect opportunity for us to become closer with the people of Berkshire and truly feel a part of life here, If you are attending the Newbury show, make sure you come and say hello to us, our trade stand will be on Avenue B.

Ableworld Thatcham giveaway an adjustable bed to one lucky customer!

Our much-anticipated opening of Ableworld Thatcham back in March 2023, was kicked off with a launch party whereby Mayor Brooks officially opened our brand-new store on 10a Bath Road. It’s fair to say we started off with a bang – opening offers, goodies and our fantastic adjustable bed competition, which we hosted in both our new Ableworld Thatcham store and our Ableworld Reading store. The competition would mean one lucky customer would win a fantastic 3ft Calverley Adjustable Bed worth £649*.
After many entries, we selected one customer at random to win the prize. And the lucky winner was Mrs Milsom who was overjoyed to have won. We hope Mrs Milsom enjoys her new adjustable bed.
Our newly appointed Store Manager Dan at Thatcham store was thrilled to be able to give back the community in a way he never had before. He said ‘’The opening of this new store was amazing; we even had the mayor turn up to cut the ribbon. I really enjoy making a difference to people’s lives and I feel this store is going to do just that.’’

At Ableworld, we are delighted to announce the opening of our newest store in Thatcham, Berkshire. Boasting an enviable location in the heart of Thatcham, Ableworld Thatcham have officially opened their doors!
Located on 10a Bath Road, opposite Thatcham Memorial Hall and ideally situated nearby Green Lane Bus Stop, the new store is in a prime location!
Kicking off Ableworld's opening week with a launch party on Thursday 16th March with Mayor Jeff Brooks officially cutting the ribbon. Ableworld are also offering plenty of goodies, refreshments, opening discounts and prizes to be won!
The 2,500 sq. ft superstore will showcase a vast array of mobility equipment, ranging from Mobility Scooters and Powerchairs to smaller aids and everyday essentials, Ableworld have a wide range of products to help customers live independently, many of which you might not have considered before. From small pill boxes and wide-fitting slippers, to adjustable orthopaedic beds and Stairlifts, plus many more - we have the ideal product for all needs!
Our friendly team are ready in-store to help you find the ideal product for your needs, providing full assessments and guidance for new customers where needed, as well as free, impartial advice on what aids would suit you best.
If you are looking for a Stairlift, our fully trained engineering team are able to cover a 30-mile radius around Thatcham. We can install, service, and repair stairlifts and other mobility aids, all in-house. In-store we have various fully operational Stairlift models, so that you can happily try one out in-store first, before committing to a purchase.
